Leading Edge (Alausa ) Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, formerly known as Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (Ikeja) Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, was founded in October 2000 by some visionary members of staff of the then Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The society was established with the aim of providing a platform for members to pool their resources together, promote thrift and credit and offer financial and other support to one another.
