Leading Edge (Alausa ) Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, formerly known as Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (Ikeja) Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, was founded in October 2000 by some visionary members of staff of the then Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The society was established with the aim of providing a platform for members to pool their resources together, promote thrift and credit and offer financial and other support to one another. .
Early Years
In its early years, the society focused on providing basic financial services to its members, including savings and loan facilities. As society grew, it expanded its services to include retail business, consumer operations, and real estate investments. The society's commitment to its members and its community-driven approach helped it to establish a strong reputation and attract new members.
Growth and Expansion
Over the years, the society has experienced significant growth and expansion. Today, Leading Edge (Alausa) Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited is a thriving Cooperative society with a diverse range of services and investments. Our membership has grown to include not only staff members of the Cooperatives Department but also other individuals from other Ministries, Departments and Agencies from the Lagos State Public Service who share our values and vision.
Change of Name
In October 2019, the society underwent a change of name to Leading Edge (Alausa ) Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited as directed by the Head of Service.
This change reflects our society's commitment to innovation, excellence, and forward thinking. Our new name also better reflects our expanded range of services and investments, as well as our growing membership and influence.

Today, Leading Edge Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited is proud to celebrate over two decades of service to our members and our community.
